Project Manager IT

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic business and IT initiatives across Prothya. In your role you are responsible for planning, executing, and governing cross-functional projects and programmes, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, you drive digital transformation, system implementations, process improvements, and organisational change to deliver sustainable business outcomes.Key responsibilities:Project & Program LeadershipLead end-to-end delivery of business and IT projects from initiation through implementation and transition to operations.Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve agreed business objectives.Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.Stakeholder & Governance ManagementBuild strong relationships with business leaders, project sponsors, system owners, and external partners.Facilitate decision-making, manage expectations, and resolve issues or competing priorities.Maintain effective project governance, reporting, and executive communications.Provide regular updates on project status, risks, budget, and milestones.Business Transformation & ComplianceSupport digital transformation and business process improvement initiatives.Ensure alignment between business requirements, technology solutions, and organisational objectives.Coordinate change management, business readiness, and user adoption activities.Ensure projects comply with applicable quality, validation, regulatory, and governance requirements.Vendor & Resource ManagementManage external suppliers, consultants, and implementation partners.Coordinate project resources and support capacity planning and prioritisation.Monitor vendor performance and delivery against agreed commitments.Core CompetenciesLeadership and stakeholder managementStrong communication and presentation skillsPlanning, organisation, and prioritisationRisk management and problem solvingResults-oriented with strong accountabilityAbility to operate effectively in a complex, cross-functional environmentRelevant Skills & ExperienceProven experience delivering medium to large-scale business and/or IT projects and transformation initiatives.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).Experience managing budgets, schedules, scope, resources, and third-party vendors.Strong governance, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities.Experience with system implementations and business process transformation.Functional / Industry ExperienceExperience in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, healthcare, or other regulated industries preferred.Understanding of GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV), and Data Integrity principles is advantageous.Experience with ERP platforms (SAP preferred).Exposure to digital transformation, workflow automation, analytics, or operational excellence initiativesProfessional / Educational BackgroundBachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification preferred.>8 years of relevant experience managing complex business and/or IT projects, programs, or transformation initiatives.Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects from initiation through successful implementation.Other RequirementsBased in the Netherlands with frequent presence at Prothya site.Comfortable working in an international, cross-functional environment.Strong focus on quality, compliance, governance, and delivery excellence.Why This RoleLead strategic initiatives with significant business impact.Contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation.Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.Drive process improvements, operational excellence, and digital innovation.Influence Prothya's future technology and business landscape.What we offerFull-time employment (40h) with flexible working hours in consultation.
