Project Manager - Roads, Highways, Detours

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Roads, Highways & Detour Planning to lead the delivery of major road and highway infrastructure projects.About the RoleYou will oversee the full project lifecycle, from design review and construction supervision through to handover. You will act as the key link between the client, contractors, and design consultants, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage road and highway projects from planning through completionSupervise construction activities and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standardsPlan, review, and coordinate traffic management and detour schemes to minimize disruption to road usersReview and approve contractor submittals, work programs, method statements, and progress reportsMonitor project schedules, costs, and risks; recommend corrective actions where neededOversee contractor payments, variation orders, and claims in line with contract conditionsCoordinate with authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders to resolve interface issuesEnforce HSE requirements and quality assurance procedures on siteProvide regular progress reporting to the client and senior managementGuide and mentor site engineers and supervision staffKey Requirements10 to 15 years of experience in roads, highways, and detour/traffic management planningProven experience in roads project engineering and site supervisionWorking knowledge of the PMC environment, including client representation, contractor oversight, and contract administrationBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)Strong understanding of FIDIC or similar contract conditionsExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in project planning tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
