Many of the country’s highways, tunnels and bridges have been engineered and built by us, allowing the use of our in-house asphalt, concrete, plant and machinery.For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects including Expo 2020, The Address Hotel renovation, Bluewaters, Marsa Al Seef, CityWalk and the expansion of the Fashion Avenue in the Dubai Mall.We are looking for a Project Planning Manager to lead planning and scheduling activities for a major high-rise building project in Abu Dhabi.Role PurposeThe Project Planning Manager supports the PMT (Project Management Team) and reports to the DPL (Divisional Planning Lead). They provide a project specific perspective that captures the early identification and reporting of project risk, to ensure the right conversation, at the right time take place. They are responsible for overseeing a broad range of duties related to the project day-to-day functions associated with planning, deliverables, and operations. They supervise a team of planning specialists, based on the size, complexity, and cost of the project.The Project Planning Manager will coordinate schedules, deliveries, and work tasks involving all other elements of a project and will serve as a liaison (SPOC) among internal project units and with external vendors to ensure a holistic 360-degree project view is achieved and maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesLead in the Development and implementation of resource and cost loaded programme of works & master schedule.Ensure programmes & master schedules are maintained – Documenting Change and ensuring progress update follows the agreed planning rules.Ensure that all company planning policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to within the project.Develop the Execution Basis of Schedule documentThe development of planning studies and scenario programmes that document and capture project change.Oversee the production and project approval of Project reports – internal and External.Produce project Start-Up KPIs and Baseline/CTP Dashboard ReportsReport critical path findings - Identification of early project risk and mitigation proposals (Back to Baseline).Ensure the Project Cascade (war room) reporting process is implemented and maintained.Cascade Project Issues to the Project and Divisional Planning Manager.Undertake the Project Planning link into the client team to raise and capture any project specific issues and to ensure that DCC protocols and procedures are followed.To ensure any client issues are captured, recorded and cascaded internally to both the PMT and Divisional Planning Manager.Ensure the capture of project production norms and cycle times is undertaken & ensure feedback cycle into pre-construction team is maintained.Ensure project delay/change is captured, and any subsequent delay analysis follows agreed DCC best practice guidelines.Develop Mitigation/Acceleration/Target and Scenario programmes in line with project contractual requirements.Ensure the set-up of a project “War Room” is achieved and maintained for the life of the project.Produce and Maintain Project Risk & Opportunity Register - early identification of projects Risk/Opportunity and ensure information is maintained.Ensure Project Lessons Learned are captured and logged during the execution phase of the project.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.Minimum 12+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry.Demonstrated ability to independently lead and manage the planning function of large-scale construction projects.Proven track record in high-rise building projects within the GCC region, with strong expertise in planning methodologies, project controls, construction sequencing, progress monitoring, and schedule management.Proficiency in industry-standard planning and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, is preferred.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Interested candidates are requested to submit their most recent CV.Thank you for your application and interest in joining Dutco Construction.
