Project Procurement LeadRole OverviewThe Project Procurement Manager/Lead is the procurement representative within industrial/EPC projects, responsible for supporting strategic and operational procurement activities throughout the bid and project lifecycle. The role combines project procurement coordination with sourcing execution and acts as a key interface between business, engineering, suppliers, and procurement stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Procurement LeadershipAct as the primary procurement focal point for assigned projectsSupport the implementation and execution of project procurement strategies and plansTranslate project targets into procurement actions aligned with cost, schedule, and quality objectivesEnsure early involvement of procurement during development and engineering phasesApply procurement processes in compliance with company policies and external regulationsIdentify procurement risks and support mitigation actionsStrategic Sourcing & ContractingSupport the development and implementation of contracting and sourcing strategiesIdentify, qualify, and manage consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and suppliersCoordinate tendering processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP, EOI)Participate in commercial negotiations in coordination with business and category teamsSupport commercial evaluations, cost analysis, and supplier recommendationsContribute to contract preparation and execution with legal and contract management teamsSupplier & Contract ManagementDevelop and maintain strategic supplier relationshipsMonitor supplier performance, KPIs, and compliance with:Contractual obligationsESG / CSR / sustainability targetsEscalate and support resolution of supplier performance issuesSupport contract execution and administration activitiesProject IntegrationInterface with project teams, engineering, finance, and legalSupport alignment of procurement activities with project timelinesContribute to cost competitiveness through market intelligence and benchmarkingRisk & Cost ManagementSupport identification of procurement risks and implementation of mitigation plansMonitor procurement package budgets and cost evolutionContribute to achieving:Savings targetsPerformance improvementsValue engineering initiatives Market IntelligenceConduct continuous market analysis and supplier benchmarkingIdentify innovative sourcing solutions and alternative suppliersMaintain updated knowledge of:Contractor ecosystemCategory strategiesMarket trends and risksTeam CoordinationSupervise and support Procurement resourcesEnsure alignment with procurement strategy and project objectivesContribute to team development and capability buildingRequired Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Procurement SkillsStrong knowledge of:EPC / industrial procurement processesContracting strategies (lump sum, unit rate, framework agreements)Tendering and commercial evaluationAbility to manage complex technical packages (Mechanical, Electrical, Construction)Project Management SkillsUnderstanding of:Project lifecycle (FEED, execution, commissioning, O&M)Planning, scheduling, and cost controlAbility to work in matrix project organizationsCommercial & Negotiation SkillsEffective negotiation and influencing skillsGood commercial awareness and financial understandingAbility to support management of medium to high-value contractsAnalytical & Risk ManagementStrong analytical mindsetAbility to assess risks, opportunities, and total cost of ownership (TCO)Data-driven decision makingStakeholder ManagementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levelsCross-functional collaborationDigital & ToolsExperience with ERP and procurement systems:SAP / Ariba (preferred)Strong skills in:Excel / data analysisProcurement dashboards and reportingBehavioral CompetenciesOwnership mindset and accountabilityResults-oriented and proactiveAbility to work in dynamic project environmentsHigh ethical standards and compliance awarenessEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in:Engineering is a must, MBA Supply Chain, Project and Risk Management is plusMinimum:8–10 years in procurement4+ years in project procurement / EPC environmentsExperience supporting industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projectsPreferred CertificationsCIPS (Level 4–6)CIPP/CIPM, CISCP/CISCMCPSM / CSCPPMP (PMI) or RMPFIDIC or Contract Management certifications
