We are seeking an experienced Project Team Leader to lead a multidisciplinary consultancy team for a utility-scale Solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project coordination, technical leadership, stakeholder management and delivery of the project in accordance with the required quality, programme, HSE and contractual requirements. Further key responsibilities for this position include:Lead and coordinate the project team across all project disciplines.Manage overall project delivery, programme, resources, risks and technical interfaces.Coordinate with the Client, authorities, utility/grid operator, EPC Contractor and other stakeholders.Review and coordinate engineering deliverables, studies, designs and technical documentation.Monitor project progress, quality, HSE and compliance with contractual requirements.Provide technical and strategic direction throughout project development, design, construction and commissioning.Manage interfaces between electrical, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and other disciplines.Review and support technical aspects of EPC, O&M, PPA and other project-related contractual interfaces.Lead project meetings and prepare progress and management reports.Identify project risks, issues and opportunities and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.REQUIRED SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related discipline.Master’s degree and/or Professional Engineering certification is an advantage.Minimum 15 years of professional experience, preferably with significant experience in power generation and renewable energy projects, in a same role.Proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV / Solar IPP projects.Strong knowledge of power systems, grid connection, substations, HV/MV systems and solar PV technologies.Experience in project management, multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management.Good understanding of EPC, O&M and IPP contractual interfaces.PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.Excellent communication, leadership and reporting skills.It is preferred to have experience in projects in Oman or the GCC, with knowledge of local regulatory, utility and permitting requirements.
