This role is responsible for managing property-related accounting activities, including recording and reconciling transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts for real estate assets. The Property Accountant will prepare and review financial statements and reports for individual properties and portfolios, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor rental income, operating expenses, service charges, and lease obligations. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with property management and finance teams, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, assisting with audits, and providing timely financial insights to support management decisions. The role also involves implementing process improvements, maintaining documentation, and supporting system enhancements related to property accounting.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with a solid understanding of property and real estate accounting practices.Candidates should possess skills in preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including property-level and consolidated reports.Candidates should possess expertise in Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger management, and account reconciliations.Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including spreadsheets, reconciliations, and financial analysis.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.Experience in property or real estate accounting within the UAE or similar markets is highly beneficial.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
