We have recently expanded our organization to include third-party management extending our high standard to more communities.We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The Property Accountant is responsible for preparing the monthly financial statements and ad hoc reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and meet deadlines.Please click the link to complete the Culture Index survey and move forward with your application: https://go.cultureindex.com/s/GCbQq1JcheDuties and Responsibilities:Compile and analyze financial information for month end and year end closePrepare monthly reporting packages for 8-10 properties, including financial statements and supporting documentationBank Reconciliations for multiple bank accountsBalance sheet tie outs completed for every property every monthExpense reconciliation and review every month, including recurring contractsPrepare journal entries and review general ledger for accuracyComplete a pre-close weekly checklistEffective communication with Property Managers and Regional Directors to ensure accurate and timely information related to financial reportingWork closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivablePerform other duties and ad hoc projects within the scope of the job duties and responsibilitiesKey Performance Indicators:Meet the monthly close deadline for each property as assigned by your managerTie outs must be 100% complete with variances and discrepancies identifiedWeekly close checklist turned in on timeBank rec reviewed weekly and complete on the first business day of the monthBy 90 days of employment financial packages are submitted that require less than 10 corrections from reviewEducation:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar business-related field or 1-2 years accounting experienceExperience in Property Management or Multi-Entity Accounting is preferredExperience with preparing accrual financial statementsExperience with Entrata is preferred but not requiredWhat We Offer:Professional work environmentCompetitive compensationGenerous paid time offMedical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage401K match
