Role Description The Director role at Studio GreenAarch is a full-time, on-site position based in Sambalpur. The Director will oversee project pipelines from concept to completion, providing strategic design direction and ensuring integration of scientific analysis into architectural decisions. This role includes leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients and consultants, and managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The Director will represent the studio in key stakeholder meetings, drive sustainable design initiatives, and contribute to business development and long-term growth. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing design documentation, monitoring project performance, and ensuring that all work aligns with the studio’s “Architecture + Science” philosophy.QualificationsStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and inspire diverse project teams.Proficiency in architectural design and planning, including conceptual development, technical detailing, and coordination of construction documentation.Experience applying scientific and data-driven analysis to design, such as building performance, sustainability metrics, and environmental impact assessment.Excellent client-facing and stakeholder communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and relationship management.Solid project management capabilities, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.Knowledge of sustainable design principles, green building standards, and current trends in environmentally responsible architecture.Comfort with relevant digital tools (e.g., CAD/BIM software, project management platforms, and basic data analysis tools).Professional degree in Architecture or related field; licensure or registration as an architect is highly beneficial.Prior experience in a senior or director-level role within an architecture or design practice.Ability to work on-site in Sambalpur and collaborate effectively in an office-based environment.
