The individual in this role will plan and deliver age-appropriate English lessons, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for primary-grade learners. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating engaging classroom activities, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. The role also involves maintaining classroom discipline, collaborating with colleagues on academic and co-curricular initiatives, communicating regularly with parents or guardians, and participating in school events and meetings. The teacher is expected to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school’s holistic education philosophy.Qualifications Strong command of English language teaching, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing for primary-level students.Ability to design clear lesson plans, use activity-based learning methods, and integrate storytelling and interactive techniques into daily teaching.Skills in student assessment, record-keeping, and providing individualized support to learners with varied abilities and learning styles.Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to create an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues, including participation in meetings and school initiatives.Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification is preferred.Prior experience teaching English at the primary school level, ideally in a CBSE or similar curriculum, is an advantage.Comfort working in a residential school environment and willingness to support co-curricular activities such as literature clubs, debates, and cultural programs.
