Job Overview:The Nurse provides dedicated clinical and operational support to the Psychiatrist and supports the safe and efficient delivery of the Psychiatry service. The role includes supporting patient preparation and follow-up, clinical documentation and coordination, and other nursing duties within the employee's professional scope of practice. Where the Psychiatrist is completing psychological or neurodevelopmental assessments, the Nurse may also provide assessment-related support similar to an Assistant Psychology role, under clinician direction and within the limits of their competence and regulatory scope. The Nurse will also provide additional administrative and operational support to the clinic when required.

Key Responsibilities

Providing day-to-day clinical support to the Psychiatrist and Psychiatry serviceSupporting patient preparation, clinical coordination, follow-up and documentationTaking and recording vital signs when clinically requiredSupporting and educating patients regarding medications prescribed by the Psychiatrist, when required and within the Nurse's professional scope of practiceAssisting with assessment administration, materials, data collection and workflow when the Psychiatrist is completing assessments, under clinician guidanceMaintaining accurate, organised and up-to-date patient records and ensuring confidentialityCoordinating with clinicians, Front of House and Back Office to support a smooth patient journeyProviding additional administrative and operational support across the clinic when requiredWorking within DHA requirements, professional nursing scope of practice and organisational policiesQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised nursing qualificationValid DHA Registered Nurse licence or eligible for DHA licensingCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to maintain required certificationStrong clinical, organisational and documentation skillsStrong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)Excellent written and spoken EnglishEmpathetic, professional and patient-centred communication styleAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinic environmentStrong attention to detail and discretion in handling sensitive patient informationInterest or experience in mental health, psychiatry or psychological assessment is desirableExperience:1–2 years of nursing experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferredExperience in mental health, psychiatry, psychology, neurodevelopmental or outpatient services is desirableExperience supporting assessments, clinical administration or multidisciplinary services is an advantagePrevious work experience in the UAE is preferred but not essential
