Located on De Zavala Rd in San Antonio Tx, at the Wellness Center (formerly the Veteran's Wellness Center), the practice values professionalism, quality care, and continuous improvement in clinical and administrative processes.Role Description The Psychiatric Practice Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Antonio, TX, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the psychiatric practice. This position manages scheduling, patient flow, and front-office functions to ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience for patients and clinical staff. The Practice Manager supervises and supports team members, coordinates training, and maintains workflows, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring performance metrics, managing billing and administrative processes, handling customer service issues, and collaborating with clinicians to support quality care delivery. The role also involves optimizing office resources, supporting practice growth initiatives, and fostering a positive, professional work environment.QualificationsCustomer-focused skills including strong Customer Service abilities and comfort interacting with patients and families.Foundational understanding of Medicine or healthcare environments, preferably in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.Team Leadership skills, including experience supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and supporting a collaborative culture.Sales or practice growth experience, such as promoting services, supporting referral relationships, or participating in outreach activities.Training skills, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing guidance on processes, systems, and policies.Additional beneficial qualifications: prior experience as a medical or practice manager, extensive knowledge of credentialing, medical billing and insurance, proficiency with EHR and practice management software, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and excellent spoken and written communication.High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
