Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support patients' mental health and well-being.Primary Responsibilities:1. Technical:2. Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, including psychiatric history-taking, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.3. Utilizing standardized assessment tools and rating scales to evaluate the severity of psychiatric symptoms, assess functional impairment, and monitor treatment response over time.4. Prescribing psychotropic medications, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and anxiolytics, based on evidence-based guidelines, patient preferences, and individualized treatment goals.5. Monitoring medication efficacy, tolerability, and side effects through regular follow-up visits, medication adjustments, and therapeutic drug monitoring as needed.6. Providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy interventions, employing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal therapy (IPT) to address specific psychiatric symptoms and psychosocial stressors.7. Offering supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation to patients and their families, fostering insight, coping skills, and adaptive coping strategies.8. Collaborating with primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex psychiatric conditions, ensuring continuity of care and integration of medical and behavioral health services.9. Participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and care planning sessions to develop holistic treatment plans and address patient needs from a biopsychosocial perspective.10. Providing crisis intervention services, including risk assessment, safety planning, and referral to appropriate levels of care (e.g., emergency department, inpatient psychiatric unit) for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises or suicidal ideation.11. Educating patients and families about psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, medication adherence, and self-management strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process and make informed decisions about their care.12. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) or medical record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, billing standards, and professional guidelines.13. Adhering to ethical principles, confidentiality standards, and legal mandates governing the practice of psychiatry, including informed consent, patient confidentiality, and mandatory reporting obligations.14. Performing other professional duties as assigned.Education / Professional Qualifications:1. Education Degree: Medical degree and completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry.2. Years of Experience: Over 8 years of experience within a related field.3. License: Registry Eligible Status.
