Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description This part-time hybrid role for a Public Affairs Director is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home. The Public Affairs Director will lead the organization’s engagement with government entities, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders, developing and implementing public affairs strategies that support organizational objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing government and media relations, drafting and reviewing press releases and official statements, and monitoring policy developments relevant to the organization’s activities. The role involves coordinating stakeholder meetings, preparing briefing materials, representing the organization at public and industry events, and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership on public affairs and reputational matters. The Public Affairs Director will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and to align public affairs initiatives with broader organizational priorities.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Government Relations and Governmental Affairs, with experience engaging policymakers and regulatory authorities.Strong background in Public Affairs and Media Relations, including stakeholder communication and reputation management.Proficiency in developing, drafting, and reviewing Press Releases and related public communications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret policy and regulatory developments.Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field; advanced qualifications are beneficial.Experience working in or with organizations in the United Arab Emirates or the wider Gulf region is preferred.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities on a part-time schedule, and operate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
