The resort is committed to delivering a first-class experience, providing high-quality service and amenities for guests and team members alike.Role Description The Public Area Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa near St. Augustine, FL. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards in all public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and outdoor common areas. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing fixtures, replenishing supplies, removing trash, and promptly responding to guest and team requests. The Public Area Attendant also reports maintenance issues, follows safety and sanitation procedures, and works closely with the housekeeping and engineering teams to ensure that all public areas reflect the resort’s high service standards.Qualifications Experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or public area cleaning in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.Ability to use basic cleaning equipment and products safely, and to follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest-facing presentation.Effective communication skills and a guest-focused attitude, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to moderate weights for extended periods, and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior hospitality experience is a plus.Knowledge of safety, OSHA, and resort cleanliness standards is beneficial.
