But one constant is the critical role that communications, public relations and the media continue to play for individuals, companies, organisations and government institutions as they seek to make their message, brand and narrative stand out and be heard!We are looking for a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident Public Relations Consultant to join our dynamic team of professionals as we continue to chart a course for our clients in an increasingly complex and complicated world! We want passionate and dedicated individuals who are focused on building a career in the public relations and communications industry. As part of the Black Dot team, you will play a key role in servicing and developing strategies for our wide range of clients that straddle an expansive spectrum of industries and sectors. You will be given exciting opportunities to work across this variety of industries, as you build relationships with our clients, journalists, vendors, and the broader community. Your work with us will require suiting up for corporate events one day, and running down race tracks the next - we like passion and adaptability.To succeed in the role, you need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills. In addition, you should be resilient, a keen learner, and possess good time-management and interpersonal skills.Some of your key duties will include:Monitoring of media coverage and preparation of reports for the wider team and clientsDelivering analytics reports on traditional and social media coverage, reporting on traffic, engagement, follower figures, trends and impactAttending and facilitating client events and industry conferencesCreation of content such as press releases, story pitches, commentaries, holding statements, social media posts and product piecesPitching of press releases and story ideas to journalists across print, broadcast and online platformsArranging and facilitating interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople - in person or over the phone, facilitating these meetings where appropriateEstablishing and building relationships with journalistsBrainstorming fresh ideas for PR campaignsStaying up-to-date with industry trends and general newsResearching and information-gatheringWorking closely with the wider team to achieve client objectivesContributing to a positive and conducive office and team cultureWe focus on building a strong and closely knit team that can work together to build a sum greater than its parts.
