Apply & track with Apply EdgePublic Relations Officer (PRO)Reports To: Senior HR ManagerAbout The Role The Public Relations Officer is responsible for managing employee visa processes, government transactions and regulatory requirements in Abu Dhabi and other Emirates when required. The role ensures that all employment, immigration and company related documentation is processed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with applicable UAE requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Visas and ImmigrationManage the complete employee visa process, including new employment visas, status changes, renewals, cancellations and transfers.Process entry permits, work permits, MOHRE employment contracts, medical fitness applications, Emirates ID applications and residence visa formalities.Coordinate employee medical tests, biometric appointments and other immigration requirements.Monitor visa, Emirates ID, work permit and labour card expiry dates and initiate renewals in advance.Maintain accurate records and digital copies of all immigration and government documents.Provide employees with clear instructions regarding required documents, appointments and application status.Follow up on delayed, rejected or returned applications and resolve issues promptly.Coordinate with employees, HR and relevant departments to obtain the required documents and approvals.UAE National Nafis, Pension & Emiratization Monitoring & Reporting: Manage UAE National pension and NAFIS registrations, updates and cancellations, ensuring accurate employee and contribution records in coordination with HR and Payroll. Monitor the company’s Emiratization quota, export relevant reports, maintain compliance trackers and promptly escalate any discrepancies, shortfalls or potential penalties to HR Management.Labour and Government RelationsProcess employment related transactions through MOHRE, ICP, TAMM and other relevant government platforms.Liaise with government departments, immigration authorities, authorized typing centers, medical centers and other service providers in Abu Dhabi.Prepare and submit government applications, Arabic letters, forms and supporting documents.Maintain professional relationships with government authorities and authorized typing centers.Keep the HR Department informed of changes to government procedures, documentation requirements and employment-related regulations.Support the processing and renewal of company licenses, permits, establishment cards and other government registrations when required.Represent the company before government authorities and external service providers when necessary.Documentation and ComplianceEnsure that all applications are complete, accurate and submitted within the required timelines.Type and prepare official documents, applications and correspondence in Arabic.Maintain confidential employee and company records in an organized and secure manner.Prepare regular reports on pending, completed and upcoming government transactions.Track government fees, deposits, penalties and transaction expenses and submit the required supporting receipts.Ensure that employees hold the required work permits and immigration documentation.Escalate compliance risks, rejected applications and potential penalties to HR Management immediately.Maintain an updated tracker for all visa, labour, immigration and government transactions.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or a relevant professional qualification is an advantage.Minimum of five years’ experience as a Public Relations Officer in Abu Dhabi.Excellent practical experience in employee visa issuance, renewal, cancellation and transfer processes.Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi immigration, labor and government procedures.Proven experience dealing with government entities, authorized typing centers and online government platforms.Strong knowledge of UAE employment and immigration documentation requirements.Native or fluent Arabic speaker with excellent Arabic typing skills.Good spoken and written English.A valid UAE driving license is preferred.Required CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong government relations and stakeholder management capabilities.High attention to detail and document accuracy.Strong follow-up, organization and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.Strong problem solving skills and the ability to resolve government transaction issues.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant UAE government platforms.Professional, reliable and responsive approach.Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Key Performance IndicatorsVisa and government transactions completed within the required timelines.Percentage of applications submitted accurately without rejection or resubmission.Timely renewal of visas, permits, Emirates IDs and company documents.Number of penalties or delays caused by missed deadlines or incomplete documentation.Accuracy and completeness of employee immigration records.Responsiveness to employee and management requests.Effective resolution of rejected, delayed or complex applications.Accuracy and timely updating of government-transaction trackers.
