Public Relations Senior Account Executive

Our firm is looking to fill two Senior Account Executive roles, one in the US and one in London (or European or Australia timezone). Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of agency or in-house experience in the communications department and an interest in finance, technology and web3.Senior Account Executives serve as the day-to-day contact for clients and the media. In this position, they are expected to be the most active in media-related activities that include media monitoring, flagging, analysis, outreach and coverage. SAEs play the role of the internal pitch masters and are pros at crafting attention-grabbing headlines, distilling complex information, and proactively identifying new opportunities for clients to be in the news. The Senior Account Executive will manage a small team of Account Executives and PR Assistants, and reports directly to Account Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents to assist with meeting the goals of each account assigned (max 4-5).

Responsibilities

Grow and nurture relationships with mediaMonitor and identify strategic news opportunities for clientsSecure consistent media coverage for clients across different media formatsEnsure weekly tasks are meeting pre-defined goals for each client accountContributes to strategy and narrative development for client campaigns and announcements alongside Account ManagersMaintaining a rapport with client spokespeople and executive leadershipProvide guidance and support to junior team members, playing an active role in enforcing company standards, values and acceptable quality of workQualificationsCollege graduate, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in communications, political science or journalismMinimum of 3-5 years public relations and communications experience (preferably in an agency or in-house setting working with finance or cryptocurrency companies)Avid reader of tech, business and finance newsStrong media relationships & media referencesProven ability to write press releases, briefing documents, boilerplates, and other standard press materialsProven understanding of media types + formatsTrack record for securing media coverageDemonstrated ability to problem solve or apply critical thinking skillsSolid understanding of technology or finance, or bothSkills Writing – news-writing (including Associated Press style format); copy (including newsletters, presentations, proposals, etc.); press material (releases, one-sheets) Research – Google, ChatGPT, MuckRackComputer – Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointManagement – time, junior team and project managementCommunications – listening, presenting and conversational skillsResourcefulness + Creativity – ability to think outside of the box RequirementsThree writing samples: press release, media pitch and OpEdThree media references: name & outletCompletion of assessment assignment(s)Compensation and Benefits: Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually (base salary)401K match100% health insurance coverage after 6 months of employmentFlexible PTO**************** This position is remote ****************
