The organization values collaboration, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for books and knowledge.Role Description The Publishing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Medina, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end publishing process for Saqf Books. Day-to-day tasks include managing editorial workflows, coordinating with authors, editors, designers, and printers, and ensuring that manuscripts move smoothly from acquisition to final publication. The role involves developing publishing schedules, monitoring production timelines and quality, and aligning releases with the company’s literary and cultural vision. The Publishing Manager will also collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan launches, promote new titles, and gather feedback from readers and partners to inform future publishing decisions.Qualifications Strong editorial and publishing skills, including manuscript evaluation, content editing, and quality assurance.Project and workflow management abilities, with experience planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with authors, internal teams, and external vendors.Familiarity with book production processes, such as layout, design, printing, and basic digital publishing concepts.Knowledge of literary trends and reader interests, particularly within the Saudi and broader Arabic-speaking markets.Ability to work on-site in Medina and engage regularly with the local reading community.Bachelor’s degree in Publishing, Literature, Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in a bookstore, publishing house, or cultural institution is an advantage.
