No paid role is guaranteed.About the roleElchai Group is training a specialist to support Elchai Pulse, the voice and text interface integrated within The Universe Eye Governance Orchestration.Pulse allows authorised users to interact with the governance infrastructure, approved company knowledge, and controlled AI-agent workflows. It is not a separate commercial product or an autonomous decision-maker. Its quality depends on accurate knowledge, correct permissions, reliable integrations, clear requirements, controlled agent behaviour, and human approval before important actions.The successful candidate will learn to support Pulse across the group and prepare repeatable operating procedures that can later be applied to multiple isolated customer branches.The role is not a software developer position requiring the candidate to build the entire system from scratch. However, the candidate must be technically curious and capable of understanding backend services, APIs, AI agents, retrieval systems, databases, permissions, logs, and user-facing behaviour well enough to coordinate clearly with the technical team.The two fundamental lawsEvery activity must respect 2 basic laws:- Each client branch must remain isolated. Data, credentials, agents, permissions, memory, logs, documents and operational context must not be mixed between branches.- No important action may be completed without a human approval step from an identified and authorised person.What you will learn and do- Understand how Pulse receives a request, retrieves approved information, uses authorised tools and produces a response.- Test whether Pulse answers from the correct knowledge source and does not invent information.- Check whether every answer is appropriate for the user, role, branch and permission level.- Prepare and maintain isolated knowledge bases for internal use and future customer branches.- Organise documents, metadata, versions, source references and access rules.- Test retrieval quality, including missing documents, outdated documents, conflicting information and unsupported questions.- Verify that Pulse clearly indicates when information is unavailable instead of guessing.- Test voice and text interactions, including unclear speech, incomplete questions, follow-up questions and incorrect assumptions.- Prepare structured requirements for backend and AI-agent teams.- Translate a founder or manager’s request into clear tasks, acceptance criteria and expected outputs.- Maintain a prioritised issue and improvement list based on business value, reliability and customer impact.- Test integrations between Pulse, the governance layer, approved databases, APIs and agent workflows.- Verify that the correct branch, user, role and session are passed through every request.- Check that sensitive information is not exposed through responses, logs, exports, notifications or shared interfaces.- Test human approval gates and verify that Pulse cannot approve or execute restricted actions independently.- Record defects, reproduce them, attach evidence and communicate risks before a client demo or important meeting.- Create SOPs, test cases, branch checklists and release-readiness documents that can be reused across future branches.- Support the preparation of a repeatable Pulse branch template containing the approved knowledge base, permissions, workflows, prompts, tools, approval rules, audit requirements and testing procedures.What success looks like during the InternshipDuring the 3-day initial trial, the candidate must demonstrate careful testing, clear communication, reliable attendance and the ability to explain what is ready, what is not ready and what evidence supports that conclusion.After the first 3 days, a minimum score of 7.2 is required to continue.During the 8-week training period, the candidate should progressively demonstrate the ability to:- Understand the main Pulse architecture and explain the flow from user request to final response.- Test knowledge retrieval and identify unsupported or hallucinated answers.- Create clear, repeatable test cases for different roles and customer branches.- Identify access-control and branch-isolation risks.- Write useful technical tickets for the backend and AI-agent teams.- Maintain an accurate issue tracker and priority list.- Produce clear SOPs and evidence-based test reports.- Communicate problems early instead of waiting for someone else to discover them.- Work carefully with customer information and internal company data.- Prepare a branch configuration and verification checklist that another trained person can follow.A minimum score of 7.5 after the 8-week school period is required to access a separate paid trial.A minimum score of 8.5 after the paid trial is required for entry into boarding.All progression decisions require approval from an authorised human manager. Pulse or any other AI tool may support the evaluation, but it cannot make the final decision.Ideal candidateThe ideal candidate is methodical, dependable and comfortable working between people, product requirements and technical teams. They do not need to be a senior engineer, but they must be able to learn technical systems quickly and ask precise questions.They should have:- Strong written and spoken English.- Excellent attention to detail.- Clear and frequent communication.- The ability to document procedures in simple language.- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, permissions, GitHub or terminal environments.- Interest in AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, voice interfaces and automation.- The ability to distinguish a correct answer from a confident but unsupported answer.- The ability to manage priorities and follow tasks through to completion.- The courage to report that something is not ready before an important appointment.- A reliable and honest working style.Candidates with experience in QA, product operations, AI tools, knowledge management, technical support, business analysis or software testing may be a strong fit.This role may not suit someone who:- Accepts an AI response without checking its source or accuracy.- Treats Pulse as a simple chatbot rather than part of a governed infrastructure.- Cannot distinguish user authentication from user authorisation.- Ignores branch boundaries or assumes that one customer’s context can be reused for another.- Waits until the last moment to report a problem.- Disappears when an unexpected technical issue appears.- Needs constant supervision for basic follow-up.- Focuses only on creating attractive demos instead of proving reliability.- Changes prompts, permissions, knowledge or workflows without approval.- Has difficulty documenting work clearly.Selection processThe selection process may include:- CV and experience review.- A short interview focused on reliability and technical curiosity.- A practical exercise testing a Pulse response against approved source documents.- A branch-isolation exercise involving 2 fictional customers.- A task to identify unsupported claims or hallucinated information.- A short exercise converting a founder’s request into technical requirements.- A written SOP or test-case exercise.- A practical conversation about what the candidate would do before an important client meeting.The central interview question is:“What do you do on the morning of an important appointment if you discover that the system is not ready?”The candidate must demonstrate timely honesty, clear escalation, evidence-based communication and a practical recovery plan.Important boundariesThe intern must not:- Present Pulse as a separate product from The Universe Eye Governance Orchestration.- Present Pulse as fully autonomous or capable of making important decisions independently.- Change permissions, approval rules, customer data, production workflows or external claims without approval.- Access one customer branch through another branch.- Copy customer knowledge, prompts, credentials, logs or documents into a different branch.- Send technical or commercial commitments to clients independently.- Claim that the system is certified, licensed, regulated or ready for any deployment without formal approval.- Approve their own work or bypass a human approval gate.- Treat an Excel file or informal document as the official system of record when the approved database or governance layer is the source of truth.The right candidate is not simply someone who can operate a voice assistant. It is someone who can help make Pulse reliable, traceable, secure and repeatable across isolated governance branches. The person must understand that every branch is different in its data and permissions, while the underlying operating method, controls and testing standards must remain consistent.
