Pump Service Technician

Pump Power Australia is on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Pump Service Technician to join our professional staff on a full-time basis in our workshop and out in the field.Tasks & responsibilitiesStrip, assess, service and repair a variety of pumps and pump typesAssemble new pumps from partsAttendance of job sites where pump repairs are required Fault-finding & troubleshootingMaintaining a tidy workshop and maintaining tools & equipmentStore duties including receiving shipments, pick & packing spare parts for customer orders Other assistance with "rainy day" dutiesStudying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings.Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipmentChecking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instrumentsForming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metalDiagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipmentMay erect pumps and associated equipment on-siteExperience & attributes:Forklift license and experienceStrong mechanical skills & prior experience with pumps Basic computer skills for documentation & reportingSolid understanding of and commitment to WHS requirements Keen attention to detail & problem-solving skillsAbility to work as part of a team with minimal managerial oversight 5 years experience as Fitter & TurnerRestricted electrical workers license is advantageous Good personal presentation & interpersonal skills Mechanical service technician skills5 or more years experience working with rotating machinery and or pumpsPump Power Australia have operated for over 35 years with a dedicated staff & low turnover.
