Role Description The Purchase Executive will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including processing purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. This full-time, on-site role based in Kharagpur and Kolkata involves sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and commodities required for the plant’s operations. The Purchase Executive will coordinate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing plans with operational requirements and budget guidelines. Daily responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, monitoring supplier performance, resolving discrepancies in orders or invoices, and supporting compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also requires regular communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support cost-effective and reliable supply chains. The Purchaser should be currently working and should have minimum exposure of 5 years in Integrated Iron and Steel Industry. Should have good knowledge in SAP. QualificationsStrong skills in Purchase Management, including handling Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.Proficiency in Procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and vendor evaluation.Effective Communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.Experience with inventory tracking, basic contract negotiation, and cost analysis.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or commodities sectors is an advantage.Comfort with using ERP or purchasing software and standard office productivity tools.Ability to work accurately under time constraints, with strong attention to detail and ethical procurement practices.
