This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving material sourcing challenges and keeping projects moving on time and on budget.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for fire fighting and MEP materialsSource materials as per project BOQs and site requirementsPrepare RFQs, obtain quotations, and carry out detailed comparative analysisNegotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and quality commitmentsPrepare and issue purchase orders in line with approved budgetsCoordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materialsPlan material requirements based on project timelines and site demandsWork closely with Site, Project, Stores, Accounts, and Management teamsMaintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and rate comparisonsFollow up on pending orders, part deliveries, and shortagesVerify materials against approved specifications and technical requirementsSupport cost control initiatives while maintaining procurement qualityWhat You Should Bring3–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, with fire fighting or fire protection industry experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of fire fighting pipes & fittings, valves, fire pumps & accessories, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, and fire alarm/detection materialsFamiliarity with GI/MS/HDPE/CPVC piping and general MEP/construction materialsStrong vendor negotiation and relationship management skillsGood coordination skills to work across site, project, and accounts teamsProficiency in MS Excel and purchase/ERP toolsWho Should Apply?Purchase/Procurement Executives or Engineers currently working in fire fighting, fire protection, or fire alarm companiesProcurement professionals from MEP, EPC, HVAC, plumbing, or building services background looking to specialize in fire protectionCandidates who've handled vendor development and material sourcing for construction or industrial projectsAnyone confident negotiating with suppliers of pumps, valves, pipes, and fire protection equipmentWhy Join Us?Vaidyanath Fire Services Pvt.
