AGM / DGM, Procurement Company: A leading real estate developer Location: Pune (Viman Nagar) Experience: 15-20 years CTC: ₹40 - 50 LPA Reports to: Senior Management / Project Director ____________________________________________________________________ Role Overview We are looking for a senior procurement leader to own the sourcing and supply chain function across our residential and real estate projects. You will build and run a cost-effective, timely and quality-assured procurement system, from vendor strategy and contracting to material delivery, supporting multiple projects in parallel. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Leadership ● Define and lead the procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with project timelines, budgets and quality standards. ● Build, mentor and manage the procurement and contracts team. ● Establish procurement policies, SOPs, approval matrices and controls. Sourcing and Vendor Management ● Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers and contractors for civil, finishing, MEP, interiors and other project packages. ● Maintain a strong vendor base with rate contracts and alternate sources to reduce supply risk. ● Run vendor performance reviews on quality, delivery and compliance. Tendering, Negotiation and Contracting ● Manage the full tender cycle: BOQ review, RFQs, bid evaluation, comparative statements and negotiation. ● Finalise work orders, purchase orders and contracts with sound commercial and legal terms. ● Drive cost savings through value engineering, bulk buying and long-term agreements. Planning and Cost Control ● Work with project, planning and design teams to forecast material requirements and align procurement to construction schedules. ● Track market price trends for key commodities (steel, cement, aggregates, etc.) and hedge against price volatility. ● Monitor procurement spend against budgets and report variances. Supply Chain and Operations ● Oversee logistics, inventory, site delivery and material reconciliation. ● Coordinate with site teams, stores and accounts to ensure timely billing, certification and payments. Governance and Compliance ● Ensure transparency, audit readiness and adherence to statutory and company policies. ● Keep documentation, vendor records and approvals accurate and traceable. Candidate Profile Qualification ● Graduate in any discipline; a degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering preferred. ● An MBA or PG in Supply Chain / Materials Management is an added advantage. Experience ● 15-20 years in procurement, sourcing or contracts, with a strong background in real estate or construction. ● Proven experience handling procurement for large residential projects at AGM/DGM level or equivalent. Skills and Competencies ● Strong negotiation and commercial acumen. ● Deep knowledge of construction materials, contractor packages, rates and market dynamics. ● Experience with tendering, BOQ analysis and contract management. ● Working knowledge of ERP / procurement systems and MS Excel. ● Leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making ability. ● Integrity and a strong process orientation.
