Black & Grey HR is hiring an experienced Purchase Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in the UAE. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s procurement strategy and overseeing global purchasing operations to ensure the timely availability of quality goods and services at competitive costs.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage the company’s global purchasing and procurement functions.Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures for the goods and services required by the company.Take overall responsibility for the company’s annual global procurement expenditure.Monitor procurement activities and forecast purchasing requirements in line with business needs.Ensure procurement practices and activities are aligned with the company’s operational plans and strategic objectives.Develop and manage key supplier relationships, including direct involvement in supplier negotiations and contract discussions.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and other external partners.Initiate and participate in strategic projects and initiatives that contribute to the company’s future growth and direction.Strategically manage supplier performance, pricing, quality, and delivery to support profitability improvement and consistent product quality.Conduct market intelligence and analysis to identify market trends, sourcing opportunities, risks, and potential cost-saving initiatives.Develop and implement appropriate action plans based on market intelligence and procurement analysis.Establish and implement cost-management systems across the company, including its overseas offices.Ensure effective supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinate with the HSE Department and take appropriate action when non-compliance related to pollution, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, or renewable energy is identified.Ensure relevant environmental and safety measures are implemented and maintained to minimize risks to employees and the environment to the lowest reasonably practicable level.Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Managing Director or reporting manager from time to time.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.10–15 years of experience in international purchasing/procurement management, preferably with strong supply chain and international sourcing experience.Strong experience in manufacturing procurement and end-to-end procurement systems and processes.Demonstrated experience in international sourcing and supplier management.Strong international procurement and commercial background.Strong contract management and negotiation skills.Proven experience in developing, training, and managing a purchasing/procurement department.Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
