Kopi Rakyat welcomes passionate and dedicated individuals who want to contribute to the future of a proudly Malaysian coffee brand.Role Description The Purchaser is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru, responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and supplies for Kopi Rakyat outlets and central operations. This role involves sourcing and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet operational needs. The Purchaser will monitor stock levels, prepare purchase orders, update procurement records, and coordinate closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Daily tasks include tracking supplier performance, resolving delivery or quality issues, ensuring compliance with company and Halal requirements, and supporting cost-saving and efficiency initiatives. The role also includes periodic market research to identify new suppliers, products, and opportunities that support the brand’s growth.Qualifications Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase order management.Inventory and logistics coordination skills, with the ability to track stock levels, plan replenishment, and ensure on-time delivery to multiple outlets.Attention to detail and basic data management skills for maintaining accurate records, reviewing invoices, and supporting cost control.Good communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and outlet managers.Basic understanding of food and beverage operations or retail environment; familiarity with Halal standards and compliance is an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Johor Bahru, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced, growing business.Prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement; a diploma or degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial.Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools; experience with inventory or procurement systems is an added advantage.
