Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob SummaryWe are looking for a Purchase Manager to manage raw material procurement, cost optimization, and supplier consolidation in the Plastic manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement, cost savings, and maintaining inventory norms while driving LEAN procurement initiatives.Key Responsibilities Procurement & Inventory Management: Ensure raw material procurement as per budget and on time, preventing excess stock or stockouts. Define and maintain inventory norms with Min-Max levels for all plants to optimize material flow. Cost Optimization & Supplier Management: Achieve cost savings as per budget through better market buying strategies, including: Alternative sourcing (new suppliers, countries, trade agreements). Alternative materials (near prime, direct sourcing, price negotiation). Turnover discounts & year-on-year cost reductions. Supplier consolidation & rationalization (RM, packaging, transport, consumables). Budget Control & Expense Monitoring: Ensure Capex control as per budget. Monitor and control packing & consumables expenses as per budget. Maintain repair & maintenance expenses within budget. Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor and report raw material price trends against external material boards for informed decision-making. LEAN Procurement & Data-Driven Initiatives: Lead UDAAN - LEAN PROCUREMENT Project, ensuring Plan vs Actual performance tracking for continuous improvement.Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization. Knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, and financial controls. Proficiency in market research, sourcing strategies, and price trend analysis. Experience in LEAN procurement methodologies and data-based decision-making. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Plastic manufacturing industry. Proven track record in cost-saving initiatives, supplier consolidation, and inventory optimization.Skills: management,procurement,sourcing
