The organization focuses on continuous improvement and is dedicated to meeting future healthcare challenges with innovation and care.Role Description The Purchasing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. The Purchasing Assistant will liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate basic terms, and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to understand requirements, verifying inventory levels, and assisting in vendor evaluation and documentation. The Purchasing Assistant will also help ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and contribute to cost-effective and quality-focused procurement operations.Qualifications Strong understanding of Purchasing Processes, including vendor coordination and basic negotiation.Hands-on experience with Purchase Orders and related documentation, record-keeping, and tracking.Knowledge of Purchasing and Procurement practices within a manufacturing or healthcare equipment environment.Effective Communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with spreadsheets or procurement software.Ability to work on-site full time in Chennai and collaborate within cross-functional teams.Prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics is an advantage, preferably in medical devices or healthcare equipment.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
