Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Executive is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting the end-to-end purchasing and procurement process for the organization. This role includes preparing and processing purchase orders, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services required for business operations. The position involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, monitoring inventory levels and reorder points, and coordinating with internal teams to understand requirements and budget constraints. The role also includes communicating with vendors, tracking order status, resolving discrepancies or delays, and assisting with cost optimization and vendor performance review.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing, including familiarity with procurement cycles and basic supply chain concepts.Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Orders, including preparing, reviewing, and tracking orders with attention to accuracy and compliance.Candidates should possess skills in Procurement, including vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, and negotiation support.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders, liaising with suppliers, and documenting purchasing activities.Relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support in a service-oriented or small business environment is beneficial.Strong organizational skills, data entry accuracy, and basic proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement or ERP tools are preferred.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines is important.A diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory if supported by relevant experience.
