About the RoleLead and manage the end-to-end procurement function to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. Develop and execute purchasing strategies that support operational efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance with organizational and ISO standards.ResponsibilitiesProcurement & SourcingLead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services from qualified and reliable suppliersNegotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal value and cost savingsEnsure timely procurement to support uninterrupted plant operationsStrategy & Process ImprovementDevelop, implement, and continuously improve purchasing strategies aligned with business objectivesDrive cost optimization initiatives, supplier rationalization, and process efficiency improvementsIdentify opportunities for digitalization and automation within purchasing processesSupplier ManagementEvaluate, select, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost competitiveness, and reliabilityMonitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, service level) in compliance with ISO and internal standardsBuild strong supplier relationships and manage contract performanceInventory & Store ManagementOversee store operations to maintain optimal inventory levelsEnsure proper inventory planning, stock control, and minimization of excess or obsolete stockCollaborate with production and planning teams to ensure supply continuityCompliance & GovernanceEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ISO requirementsMaintain accurate documentation and audit readinessIdentify and mitigate procurement risksTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, manage, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental KPIsProvide coaching, training, and performance managementFoster a collaborative and high-performance work cultureQualificationsPossess Degree in Business Administration, Economics or any related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing within a manufacturing environmentExperience in both local and international sourcing is an advantageProven experience in managing and leading a teamStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsGood understanding of supply chain and inventory managementHighly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP knowledge is an added advantage)Willing to be based in Banting (near KLIA, Sepang)Required SkillsStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsGood understanding of supply chain and inventory managementHighly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP knowledge is an added advantage)
