Through infrastructure that supports community development, governance, and cultural preservation, S.N. & Company contributes to nation-building with every project.Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for overseeing all procurement activities to support ongoing construction and engineering projects. This role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and budgets. The Purchasing Manager will maintain accurate purchase records, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement plans with project timelines. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing market trends, preparing purchase orders, managing vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. The role also includes optimizing procurement processes, resolving supply issues, and contributing to cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.Qualifications Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.Ability to manage inventory and materials planning, including demand forecasting, stock monitoring, and coordination with project and site teams.Competence in cost analysis and budgeting, with the ability to compare quotations, control procurement costs, and align purchases with financial plans.Proficiency with procurement and ERP/software tools, and familiarity with documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements in construction or infrastructure projects.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and government agencies.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and capability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.Relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within construction, engineering, or infrastructure domains.
