Company Description JUSTSTRIVE INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LTD is in the process of establishing a 150 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant with a 4 MW captive power generation facility in Nayagarh District, Odisha. The plant will supply ethanol to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) under the Government of India’s Ethanol Blending Programme (EBP), supporting national energy and sustainability goals. The company focuses on efficient, compliant, and reliable operations within the biofuel and power generation sectors. JUSTSTRIVE INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LTD is led by Mr. Ramgopal Kolli, an experienced Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre. His background in district administration, government departments, and public corporations, including his tenure as Principal Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh until 2021, provides strong governance and strategic direction.Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur, responsible for end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities for the ethanol and power plant projects. This role involves identifying and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services in line with project and operational requirements. The Purchasing Manager will manage purchase orders, track deliveries, maintain records, and collaborate closely with operations, engineering, finance, and project teams to align procurement with production schedules and budgets. The role includes monitoring market trends, optimizing cost and quality, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, and implementing best practices in inventory and vendor management. The Purchasing Manager will also support the development of procurement strategies, risk mitigation plans, and continuous improvements to purchasing processes.Qualifications Strong skills in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation, with experience handling industrial or manufacturing supplies and services.Ability to manage purchasing processes, including purchase order creation, inventory coordination, and cost optimization, using relevant tools or ERP systems.Working knowledge of supply chain management, logistics coordination, and basic budgeting or cost control principles.Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to industrial procurement, preferably in the ethanol, chemical, or power sector.Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build productive vendor relationships.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., in materials management or supply chain) is an advantage.Prior experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
