Purchasing Manager – Drywall & Ceiling Partition Materials

Job SummaryEJABI Modern is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the sourcing, procurement, and supplier management functions for our drywall, ceiling partition, and building construction materials portfolio including gypsum boards, cement boards, steel profiles, T-grid systems, ceiling tiles, access panels, and metal accessories. The role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant procurement to support the company's leadership position in the Gulf region's drywall and ceiling industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies for drywall, ceiling, and partition materials (gypsum board, cement board, steel profile, T-grid, ceiling tiles, perforated boards, access panels, fasteners/screws, and metal accessories).Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers/manufacturers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable lead times.Manage end-to-end purchase order cycle: RFQs, negotiations, contracts, order placement, and delivery tracking.Monitor and forecast material demand in coordination with sales, projects, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages/overstock.Build and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturers and freight/logistics partners for imported materials (sea/air freight, customs clearance in GCC).Ensure all procured materials meet ISO 9001/14001/45001 quality, safety, and environmental standards consistent with company policy.Track market trends, raw material pricing (steel, gypsum), and currency fluctuations to advise management on cost impacts.Negotiate annual supply agreements, payment terms, and volume-based discounts with vendors.Prepare and manage procurement budgets, cost analysis reports, and supplier performance evaluations (KPIs: on-time delivery, quality, pricing).Coordinate with QA/QC and warehouse teams on incoming material inspection and compliance with project specifications.Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, trade regulations, and GCC import laws.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil/Industrial Engineering, or related field.5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in building materials, drywall, gypsum, steel, or construction supply industries.Strong knowledge of drywall/ceiling systems and related products (gypsum board, cement board, steel studs/tracks, T-grid, ceiling tiles, accessories).Proven experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management (regional/international suppliers).Familiarity with import/export processes, customs procedures, and logistics in GCC.Proficiency in ERP/procurement software and MS Excel for cost analysis and reporting.Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.Valid UAE driving license preferred; transferable residency/work visa as applicable.Preferred AttributesB.Tech (Civil/Industrial Engineering) with an MBA in Supply Chain Management is a plus.Existing supplier network in gypsum board, steel profile, or ceiling material manufacturing (regional or international).Experience working with ISO-certified trading/manufacturing companies.Understanding of construction
