Purchasing Officer

Role DescriptionThe Purchasing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to support production and operations. This includes reviewing and processing purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services from approved suppliers. The role involves evaluating supplier offers, participating in contract negotiations, and maintaining accurate purchasing records in line with company policies and quality standards. The Purchasing Officer will regularly analyze pricing, lead times, and supplier performance, collaborate with warehouse, production, and finance teams, and help optimize costs while maintaining reliable supply. The position also requires adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, as well as continuous improvement of purchasing processes.QualificationsMinimum 4 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders, and the ability to manage them efficiently.Experience in contract negotiation with suppliers, with a focus on achieving favorable terms aligned with quality and cost objectives.Demonstrated analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance, pricing, and inventory requirements to support data-driven decisions.Previous experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, ideally in food or beverage industries.Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems and basic MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Good written
