This position is responsible for managing procurement activities, maintaining optimal stock levels for fast-moving items, monitoring backorders, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to meet internal and external customer expectations. The ideal candidate will combine strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Reporting RelationshipsReports to: General Manager / Managing DirectorCollaborates with: Office Team, Warehouse Staff, Technical Department, Project Managers (PM), and Procurement Specialists (PS)Qualifications And ExperienceExperience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement managementProven track record in managing supplier relationships and procurement processesProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)Strong analytical and negotiation skillsExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKey Responsibilities4.1 Purchasing & StoresProcess purchase orders to suppliers, including prompt orders and scheduled stock replenishmentMonitor and analyze stock usage patterns to maintain optimal inventory levelsCoordinate return of defective goods to suppliers for warranty repair or replacementManage internal stock transfers and adjustments, including demonstration (DEMO) stock4.2 Administration & Company Technical SupportReceive, subcontract, and dispatch repair items via the warehouseGenerate purchase orders for technical repairs under warrantyPrepare and distribute quarterly stock reports to Project Managers and Procurement Specialists4.3 Product SourcingIdentify and qualify second-source suppliers to mitigate supply chain risksNegotiate pricing and terms to reduce overall cost of goods while maintaining quality standards4.4 Freight Forwarders & Logistics CoordinationSolicit and compare quotes from freight forwarders for international and domestic shipments (air and sea)Coordinate timely and cost-effective logistics arrangements for incoming and outgoing shipments4.5 Occupational Health and SafetyMaintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OHS regulationsIdentify and report potential hazards; participate in risk mitigation initiativesEnsure full compliance with Ecomed Trading’s OHS policies, procedures, and guidelines4.6 Communication & CollaborationMaintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with internal stakeholdersFacilitate information sharing across departments to support operational efficiency4.7 Code of EthicsAdhere to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism as outlined in Ecomed Trading’s Code of EthicsEnsure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standardsNote: This is a paid internship.Skills: communication,procurement,freight,purchasing
