Rainbow School aims to prepare students to grow, lead, and contribute confidently in an evolving global landscape.Role Description The PYP Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Nellore, responsible for leading and managing the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme across the school. This position involves collaborating with teachers to design and refine units of inquiry, ensuring alignment with PYP standards and practices, and supporting differentiated, student-centered teaching. The PYP Coordinator will organize and lead professional development, mentor teaching staff, and facilitate regular curriculum planning and reflection meetings. The role includes coordinating assessment practices, maintaining documentation required by the IB, and acting as the key liaison between the school and the IB organization. The PYP Coordinator will also engage with families to communicate programme philosophy, learning goals, and student progress, helping to build a strong and inclusive learning community.Qualifications Experience with IB PYP curriculum design, unit planning, and inquiry-based, transdisciplinary teaching approaches.Strong skills in instructional leadership, mentoring, and supporting teacher professional growth and collaboration.Proficiency in classroom assessment strategies, documentation of learning, and use of data to inform teaching and reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues, and families in a diverse school community.Ability to manage programme coordination tasks, including planning, scheduling, record-keeping, and compliance with IB requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a teaching qualification and prior IB PYP coordination or PYP teaching experience are highly preferred.Demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning, inclusion, and holistic development, with openness to ongoing professional learning.
