Python Backend DeveloperLocation: Dubai, UAE | Employment Type: Full-time | Experience: 3–5 yearsSalary: AED 10000-12000About the Role We are looking for a strong Python Backend Developer to join a growing technology team in Dubai. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs, working closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver reliable and high-performing applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and RESTful APIs using PythonCollaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integrationWrite clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following best practicesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving backend architectureDevelop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code qualityWork within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectivesIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugsMaintain technical documentation for backend systems and APIsKey Requirements3–5 years of hands-on experience in Python backend developmentStrong proficiency in Python with solid experience in at least one modern framework such as Django, FastAPI, or FlaskExperience designing and building RESTful APIsGood understanding of databases — both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB or similar)Familiarity with ORM tools and database query optimisationExperience working with Git and version control best practicesGood understanding of REST APIs and client-server architectureExperience with Jira or similar project management toolsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesExperience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or others) to support development workEnglish proficiency at B2 level or higherGood to HaveExperience with Docker or containerisation toolsKnowledge of message brokers such as Redis or CeleryExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Familiarity with frontend technologies — Angular or React is a plus
