Position: Python Software EngineerLocation: London (4 days a week)Contract- PermanentMy client are looking for Python Software Engineer to join a global technology team within a fast paced financial services environment. You will play an important role in developing and enhancing reliable, scalable systems that support critical business operations.We place a strong emphasis on software quality, maintainability, testing and engineering best practices, and are looking for someone who shares this approach.In this role, you will be responsible forDesigning and developing highly reliable and testable Python based batch systems.Providing operational support for critical production systems.Working closely with business and commercial teams to develop new products, features and technical solutions.Contributing to R&D initiatives, evaluating new technologies and identifying opportunities for improvement.Working collaboratively as part of a global software development team.Supporting the continuous improvement of development processes, systems and engineering practices.Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.Requirements3+ years of commercial experience developing software with Python.Experience working with large datasets and data processing technologies.Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.Hands on experience with SQLStrong understanding of software development principles and best practices.Experience writing clean, maintainable and testable code.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
