Python Engineer (5619)

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Python Engineer to join our client’s team in New York, NY. This is an onsite, contract to hire position.SALARY: $70 – $75 hr (depending on experience)Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Only candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship should apply.Requirements Minimum of 7 to 10+ years of professional software development experience in backend or full-stack engineering Proven ability as a hands-on problem solver capable of translating complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions Proficiency in Python, including object-oriented and functional programming principles Experience developing and deploying Azure Functions, APIs, and event-driven systems Experience integrating with databases (SQL, NoSQL, or cloud-native data stores) and designing scalable data access layers Knowledge of microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems Familiarity with Azure SDKs, Azure Cognitive Services, and cloud security best practicesResponsibilities Design and develop cloud-native systems supporting intelligent automation and decision-making Build APIs, Azure Functions, and event-driven services for enterprise applications Integrate systems with databases and design efficient data access patterns Implement event-driven architectures using Azure Event Grid, Durable Functions, and API Management Prototype and experiment with SDKs, APIs, and frameworks to support AI-driven workflows Develop monitoring, observability, and diagnostic tools to ensure system reliability and performance Apply best practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and cost optimization Collaborate through code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentorshipNextpath Workforce SolutionsNextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
