QA/QC Engineer

Job SummaryThe QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, applicable codes, and contractual requirements. The role involves implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting inspections, managing quality documentation, and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of quality construction works.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Management System, QMS.Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction, SI.Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant.The preparation & implementation of project Quality Plan and supervision of all amendments and revisionsControl and the distribution of all the Project quality documentationAttend all project related quality meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the client/consultant/sub-contractors/vendors.Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site teamsCoordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QA/QC procurement managerCoordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives.Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors.Ensure all quality control documentation is complied and competed for as-built hand over through the project turnover engineerControl all nonconformance reports and undertake corrective & preventive actions.Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and attend the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnelImplement the QA/QC management system at siteCoordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub contractors and vendors coordinate all non destructive testing on siteCoordinate with the customers representative on all quality mattersCoordinate all receipt inspectionsDistribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractorsVerify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standardsParticipate in the site internal and external site auditsCoordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectorsEnsure all quality control documentation is complied and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineerControl all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial actionCompete site quality control instructions and action remedial responsesReview the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspectorMonitor the implementation of the approved site QC PlanComplete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customerCoordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnelElaborating inspection and test programsEnsure the safety is adhered to at siteAssure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status.

Required Skills

Planning, assigning, directing and reviewing the QA/QCwork of a professional staff and support staff.Implementing, interpreting and explaining policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to QA/QC matters under relevant scope of works.Reading and interpreting Contract Documents, Bill of quantity preambles, drawings and specifications.Providing outstanding customer satisfaction (internally and externally).Using of common office software including Microsoft Office.Ability to overview situations, review and evaluate, defining set plans to achieve business goals.Problem solving at a strategic level, working with others to reach a resolution.Careful planning to achieve accurate and timely results.
