Apply & track with Apply EdgeQA/QC MANAGER – FIT-OUTCode: QQM-510Industry: Fit-Out / Interior Design / Design & Build / ManufacturingJob SummaryThe QA/QC Manager – Fit-Out is responsible for providing independent quality oversight across Shades Interiors' active project sites, with a primary focus on the quality of fit-out execution and finishing works.The role requires regular site inspections to identify workmanship defects, incorrect execution, incomplete works, and deviations from approved drawings, specifications, materials, and required finishing standards.The QA/QC Manager is responsible for identifying, documenting, communicating, following up, and escalating quality issues. Responsibility for executing corrective works and delivering the project remains with the respective Project Manager and site team.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Quality & Finishing InspectionConduct regular inspections across multiple active project sites based on project stage, priorities, and quality risks.Physically inspect fit-out and finishing works for workmanship, accuracy, completeness, and overall finishing quality.Identify defects, poor workmanship, incomplete works, incorrect execution, and unacceptable finishes.Inspect key finishing elements including joinery, gypsum and ceilings, flooring, painting, stone, metal and glass works, doors, fixtures, and visible MEP interfaces.Check dimensions, alignment, levels, joints, edges, interfaces, tolerances, and overall finishing details where applicable.Review mock-ups and initial installations to identify quality concerns before repetitive works proceed.Identify recurring workmanship problems and bring them to the attention of the responsible project team and Management.Drawing, Specification & Material ComplianceCompare executed works against approved drawings, shop drawings, technical details, specifications, and material approvals where required.Verify that approved design and technical details are correctly reflected in site execution.Identify discrepancies between actual site works and approved drawings or specifications.Coordinate identified technical discrepancies with the responsible Project, Technical, or Design teams for clarification.Verify, where applicable, that installed finishes and materials correspond with approved selections and specifications.Quality Observations & Non-ConformanceIdentify and formally report non-conforming, defective, or unacceptable works.Raise quality observations and NCRs where required in accordance with company procedures.Clearly communicate identified issues and required quality standards to the responsible Project Manager and site team.Recommend that unacceptable works are not progressed, concealed, or presented for formal inspection until appropriate corrective action has been taken.Maintain visibility of open quality issues and their status across assigned projects.Follow-Up & EscalationFollow up with Project Managers and site teams on previously reported quality observations and NCRs.Re-inspect corrected works where required to verify that identified quality concerns have been adequately addressed.Escalate critical, repeated, or overdue quality issues to the relevant Project Director / Senior Director / Management.Highlight recurring defects, workmanship trends, or subcontractor quality concerns requiring management attention.Maintain clear accountability records showing identified issues, responsible project personnel, required action, and current status.Pre-Inspection, Snagging & Handover Quality ReviewConduct internal quality reviews of completed areas before consultant/client inspections where required.Identify visible defects and outstanding quality concerns before formal inspection or handover.Support project teams during critical finishing, snagging, and handover stages through independent quality inspection.Verify rectified items when requested and report whether the identified quality concern has been satisfactorily addressed.Highlight unresolved quality issues that may affect consultant/client acceptance or handover.Multi-Site Quality MonitoringMaintain regular inspection coverage across active Shades Interiors project sites.Prioritize site visits based on project stage, finishing activities, identified risks, previous quality concerns, and Management priorities.Provide Management with an independent view of quality conditions across the active project portfolio.Highlight significant execution or progress concerns observed during site inspections where they may affect quality, sequencing, or upcoming milestones.Progress observations are to support Management visibility and do not transfer project programme responsibility from the Project Manager / PMO to QA/QC.ReportingPrepare concise site quality inspection reports supported by photographs and references to drawings/details where necessary.Maintain a tracker of significant observations, NCRs, follow-up actions, responsible project personnel, and status.Issue reports within the required timeframe following inspections.Provide periodic management summaries identifying critical quality issues, repeated defects, overdue actions, and projects requiring additional attention.Maintain objective and factual reporting based on actual site conditions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, construction, or finishing works.Minimum 5 years in QA/QC, senior site quality, or equivalent fit-out quality responsibility.Strong UAE experience in interior fit-out and finishing works.Demonstrated experience inspecting high-quality commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, or similar interior fit-out projects.Experience working across multiple active project sites is preferred.Strong practical knowledge of interior fit-out execution and finishing standards.Strong ability to identify workmanship defects and incorrect execution through physical site inspection.Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, shop, and technical drawings.Strong understanding of joinery, gypsum and ceilings, flooring, painting, stone, metal/glass works, doors, fixtures, and finishing interfaces.Good understanding of approved materials, mock-ups, technical details, and fit-out specifications.Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, site
