QC inspector - Insulation - Project

SECTION I: Job Summary The QC Inspector - Insulation performs inspection and testing of thermal/mechanical insulation and cladding installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.SECTION II: Job Analysis Duties & Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections on insulation and cladding installation works Verify insulation material, thickness, and installation method against approved specifications Witness moisture barrier, banding, and cladding installation checks per the ITP Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for insulation works Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and insulation standards Support preparation of quality documentation for insulation handover dossiersRequirementsSECTION III: Performance IndicatorsEvaluated Based on Inspection accuracy and completeness Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts Adherence to inspection schedules/hold points Quality of inspection documentationSECTION IV: Required Skills & Abilities Core CompetenciesAttention to DetailIntegrityAnalytical ThinkingCommunication SkillsTime ManagementTechnical Skills Insulation & Cladding Inspection Techniques Insulation Material & Thickness Verification Weatherproofing/Cladding Installation Standards Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Measuring & Testing Equipment Use QC Documentation & ReportingSECTION V: Required Experience and Education Experience 5-8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on insulation/cladding application projectsEducation Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering QC/inspection certification preferred
