Rimtec is committed to being a leader in the vinyl compounding industry and to serving customers with consistent quality and excellence.Role Description The QC/QA Manager is full-time, on-site role located in Burlington, NJ. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring that PVC compounds and related products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position develops, implements, and manages quality control and quality assurance systems to ensure continuous production of quality products, that meet company, customers and applicable regulatory requirements. Plans and directs activities related to meeting quality standards of product. Recommends processes for continuous improvement in order to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards. Manages Quality Management Systems, applicable NSF, UL, and other third-party certification programs. Manages all IS0 9001 activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality management systems, supervising laboratory and inspection staff, reviewing test results and production records, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions. The QC/QA Manager will conduct internal audits, support customer audits, and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) across all production lines. This role also collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce nonconformities, and enhance overall product reliability and customer satisfaction.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Seven to ten years’ experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment required. Including three to five years’ managerial experience required. Experience in managing ISO 9001 systems and supporting or leading NSF, UL, customers, or comparable third-party certifications audits is highly preferred. Experience in plastics, polymer compounding, PVC compounding, or a closely related process-manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES1. Ability to read complex defect data and trace their root cause in order to implement corrective action.2. Supports company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and quality initiatives and ensure that all Quality Department activities are conducted in compliance with applicable company environmental health and safety requirements.3. Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.4. Proficient in time management with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.5. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and in other Microsoft Office 365 applications.6. Ability to build a culture committed to high standards. 7. Ability to pay attention to details, keen observation to spot subtle flaws or process inconsistencies before they escalate.8.
