Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesWork Arrangement: Face-to-Face / In-PersonEngagement: Freelance TutoringCurriculum: British EYFSQTS: MandatoryAbout the RoleSimone’s Tutoring is seeking an experienced QTS-qualified Early Years Tutor to provide personalised, face-to-face tutoring for young children in Dubai.This role is ideal for a warm, highly skilled Early Years educator who understands how young children learn and can combine strong British EYFS knowledge with play-based, hands-on and child-centred teaching.The tutor will support children across areas including communication and language, systematic synthetic phonics, early reading, emergent writing, early numeracy, school readiness and positive learning behaviours.We place particular value on educators who are UK-trained and/or have substantial teaching experience within British-curriculum Early Years settings.

Applicants of all nationalities are welcome.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver personalised one-to-one Early Years tutoring in the student’s home or another approved learning environment in Dubai.Plan lessons aligned with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the child’s individual learning needs.Support communication, vocabulary, listening, comprehension and confident spoken language.Teach systematic synthetic phonics, including sound recognition, oral blending, segmenting and early reading.Develop early literacy through phonological awareness, letter formation, reading readiness and emergent writing.Build early mathematical understanding through counting, number sense, subitising, patterns, shapes, comparison, measures and practical problem solving.Use engaging, play-based and hands-on activities rather than relying heavily on worksheets.Adapt activities to the child’s developmental stage, attention span, confidence and learning profile.Support Personal, Social and Emotional Development through predictable routines, independence, turn-taking and confidence building.Support transitions between Nursery, FS1, FS2, Reception and Year 1 where appropriate.Maintain clear safeguarding and professional boundaries.Provide concise and constructive progress updates to parents.Essential RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.A recognised teaching degree and teacher-training pathway.Minimum 2 years of relevant Early Years, Reception, Foundation Stage or lower-primary teaching experience.Strong knowledge of the British EYFS framework.Demonstrable experience teaching systematic synthetic phonics.Strong understanding of early literacy and early Mathematics development.Excellent spoken English with clear, accurate modelling of British curriculum phonics and pronunciation.Strong safeguarding awareness.Calm, patient and child-centred teaching approach.Ability to build positive relationships with young children and their families.Reliable and professional communication.Reliable personal transportation for face-to-face home tutoring in Dubai.Valid UAE residence / legal work authorisation.A valid MOHRE Private Tutor Work Permit, or eligibility to obtain the required permit before accepting tutoring assignments.Strongly PreferredUK teacher training.Significant teaching experience in UK schools.Substantial experience in established British-curriculum schools or nurseries.Recent experience teaching Nursery, FS1, FS2, Reception or similar Early Years stages.Experience with recognised systematic synthetic phonics programmes.Experience supporting EAL learners.Experience with school readiness, fine-motor development, handwriting readiness and transition into Key Stage 1.Experience delivering personalised one-to-one learning support.Working ArrangementThis is a freelance tutoring opportunity and is not an employment or visa-sponsorship position.Lessons are delivered face-to-face in Dubai, primarily in students’ homes or other approved learning environments.Tutors are responsible for maintaining the legal permissions, documentation and permits required to provide private tutoring in the UAE.How to ApplyPlease apply through the Simone’s Tutoring website job listing.Your application should clearly include:Your QTS statusTeacher-training routeEarly Years year groups taughtBritish curriculum experiencePhonics programmes you have taughtCurrent UAE locationAvailability for face-to-face tutoringAll tutor matching and appointment decisions are subject to human review by Simone’s Tutoring.
