our delivery teams and help strengthen the way we approach software, data and AI quality.This is a hands-on role combining functional testing, test automation, data and integration testing, and AI-enabled Quality Engineering.You will work on enterprise Data Management projects while also helping Apgar evolve its testing practices through automation and the use of Generative AI and AI Agents.As our AI activities grow, you will also contribute to testing AI-powered solutions, including RAG applications, AI Agents and Agentic AI systems.Your MissionAs a Quality & Test Engineer, your mission is to ensure that the solutions we deliver are reliable, robust and meet both business and technical requirements.You will design and execute test scenarios, automate repeatable testing activities, manage defects and provide clear visibility on solution quality.You will also explore how AI can improve the testing lifecycle — from test design and test-data generation to regression testing, defect analysis and reporting.Beyond using AI for testing, you will progressively contribute to defining how Apgar tests AI solutions themselves, helping us build Quality Engineering capabilities that can be reused across projects and products.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Testing· Define, maintain and execute test plans and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.· Perform functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.· Validate business rules, workflows, configurations, permissions and system behaviour.· Test APIs, interfaces and integrations between enterprise applications.· Validate data consistency, transformations, reconciliation and data quality across systems.· Identify edge cases and potential failure scenarios before solutions reach production.Test Automation· Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and continuous testing.· Identify testing activities that can be automated and improve existing automation coverage.· Integrate automated testing into development and CI/CD processes where applicable.· Create reusable test components and automation patterns that can be applied across projects.· Work closely with developers to improve testability and automate quality controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.AI-enabled Quality Engineering· Apply Generative AI and AI Agents to improve and accelerate testing activities.· Use AI to support test-case generation, requirements analysis, test-data generation, defect analysis and test documentation.· Explore agent-based approaches for executing tests, analysing results and identifying potential quality issues.· Evaluate where AI-generated testing can be trusted and where human validation remains necessary.· Contribute to reusable AI-enabled QA approaches, tools and accelerators for Apgar projects.Testing AI & Agentic AI Solutions· Contribute to the testing and evaluation of Generative AI, RAG and Agentic AI solutions.· Work with AI and Data teams to continuously improve the quality and reliability of AI solutions.Defect Management & Quality Reporting· Identify, document, classify and track defects through resolution.· Work closely with developers, consultants and architects to analyse root causes and validate fixes.· Maintain clear test evidence and traceability between requirements, tests and defects.· Prepare quality dashboards, test results, defect KPIs and progress reports.Confidential: Sensitive information· Communicate risks and quality issues clearly to project teams and stakeholders.Continuous Improvement· Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools and automation.· Keep up to date with emerging Quality Engineering, test automation and AI testing practices.· Experiment with capability across Data and AI projects.Your ProfileEducation· Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data, Engineering or a related field.Experience· 3+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or related roles.· Hands-on experience testing enterprise applications, data platforms or complex business solutions.· Experience with functional, integration and regression testing.· Experience with test automation and API testing.· Experience working as part of Agile delivery teams.· Exposure to Data Management, MDM, Data Quality or data-intensive applications is a strong advantage.Technical ExpertiseTesting & Automation· Good understanding of software testing methodologies and Quality Engineering practices.· Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.· Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.· Ability to analyse logs, troubleshoot issues and work closely with development teams.Data· Good SQL skills and ability to validate data directly.· Understanding of data quality, data validation and reconciliation.Confidential: Sensitive information· Experience testing workflows, business rules and data-driven applications.· Experience with MDM platforms such as Semarchy xDM, Informatica, Reltio, Stibo STEP, EBX or similar is an advantage.AI & Generative AI· Practical interest or experience using Generative AI to improve software development or testing activities.· Familiarity with LLMs, RAG and AI Agents.· Understanding of the specific challenges involved in testing non-deterministic AI solutions.· Exposure to AI evaluation frameworks, LLM testing, prompt testing or agent evaluation is an advantage.· Interest in experimenting with new approaches to AI-enabled testing and Quality Engineering.Programming & Tools· Working knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript or another programming/scripting language.· Experience with API testing and automation tools.· Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.· Experience with cloud environments such as Azure,
