QA Engineer – Automation & Manual TestingJob SummaryWe are looking for a QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Test Automation, Playwright, Jira, Agile methodologies, STLC, and SDLC. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing comprehensive test strategies, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality software.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.Develop and maintain UI automation test scripts using Playwright.Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.Analyze requirements and create effective test scenarios, test cases, and test data.Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify failures and defects.Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects using Jira.Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Follow and contribute to established STLC and SDLC processes.Ensure adequate test coverage and identify gaps in requirements and testing.Perform regression testing for new releases and product enhancements.Maintain automation frameworks, test scripts, reusable components, and test documentation.Participate in code reviews and provide recommendations for improving automation quality and maintainability.Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and defects to stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.Strong experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.Hands-on experience with Playwright for web application automation.Good understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Hands-on experience with Jira for defect and test/issue tracking.Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and system testing.Ability to create detailed and effective test cases and test scenarios.Good understanding of defect life cycle and root-cause analysis.Knowledge of ISTQB testing principles and best practices.Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team.
