Apply & track with Apply EdgeQuality Assurance Analyst – Regulatory TechnologyWe’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Assurance Analyst who takes pride in finding what others miss.In this role, you’ll support technology used by a major New York State regulatory organization overseeing highly regulated industries.This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into applications, challenging assumptions, catching issues before they reach production, and helping teams deliver technology that people can trust.What You’ll DoYou’ll work closely with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to help ensure new features, application changes, and releases perform as expected.Your responsibilities will include:Develop comprehensive test plans based on business and technical requirementsWrite clear, detailed test cases and test scriptsPerform manual testing across business applicationsExecute unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testingIdentify, document, track, and prioritize defects using JiraRetest resolved defects and validate that fixes work as intendedDesign and execute manual and automated testing approaches for new features and releasesBuild and maintain regression test suites to reduce production issuesPerform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and unexpected application behaviorPartner with developers early in the development lifecycle to help define acceptance criteria and testable requirementsTrack defects through resolution and communicate testing status clearly to project stakeholdersHelp establish and monitor QA metrics such as defect escape rates, test coverage, and time-to-detect.What We’re Looking ForYou should be someone who genuinely enjoys quality assurance—not simply running through a checklist, but understanding how a system is supposed to work and looking closely enough to recognize when something isn’t right.Required experience includes:At least 3 years of experience using Jira for defect tracking, bug management, or test managementAt least 5 years of experience performing software testing, including unit, integration, UAT, regression, and system testingAt least 2 years of QA experience in an Agile environmentAt least 5 years of experience writing test scripts and test casesStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solvingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to clearly document defects, testing results, and potential risksEligibility to work in New York StateWhy This Role MattersThe applications you test support an organization responsible for oversight of some of New York’s most important and highly regulated industries.Your work helps make sure systems are reliable, changes are properly tested, issues are identified before they become larger problems, and technology teams can release software with confidence.If you’re the person who notices the missing field, catches the edge case, asks “what happens if…?” and wants your QA work to have a real operational impact, you’ll feel at home in this role.Work EnvironmentHybrid work environmentUp to 50% remote work may be available based on management approvalOffice is accessible by public transportationParking is not providedApplication RequirementQualified candidates will be asked to provide:A current resumeA sample test script personally created by the candidate
