QA/QC Civil Engineer – Building ConstructionPosition: QA/QC Civil Engineer – CivilExperience: Minimum 8 YearsIndustry: Building Construction / MEP & Civil ContractingLocation: UAEJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced QA/QC Civil Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, ensuring civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and implement the project QA/QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for civil and building construction works.Inspect civil works including concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, screeding, masonry, structural works, and finishing works.Review approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, material submittals, and quality requirements.Conduct inspections and coordinate Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) with consultants and clients.Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.Monitor concrete works, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, curing, and testing.Coordinate concrete cube tests, soil tests, waterproofing tests, and other required quality tests.Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, checklists, test reports, and quality records.Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.Identify quality issues and coordinate with the construction team for effective rectification.Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality standards.Coordinate with Consultants, Main Contractors, Subcontractors, Site Engineers, Surveyors, and Project Management teams.Conduct regular site quality inspections and quality audits.Ensure all approved materials are properly inspected and comply with project specifications.Maintain proper QA/QC records and handover documentation.Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, snagging lists, testing and commissioning records, and project handover documents.Participate in consultant/client inspections and ensure timely closure of comments and observations.Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in maintaining overall project quality standards.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC Civil works.Strong experience in building construction projects is mandatory.UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.Good knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, specifications, and quality standards.Strong knowledge of ITP, Method Statements, MIR, WIR/IR, NCR, RFI, inspection checklists, and quality documentation.Knowledge of relevant international standards and project specifications.Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications.Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams and consultants.Preferred Skills & KeywordsQA/QC Civil Engineer, Civil QA/QC, Building Construction, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Civil Works, Structural Works, Concrete Works, Reinforcement, Formwork, Blockwork, Masonry, Plastering, Waterproofing, Tiling, Screeding, Finishing Works, ITP, Method Statement, MIR, WIR, IR, RFI, NCR, Material Inspection, Site Inspection, Quality Inspection, Concrete Testing, Cube Testing, Consultant Coordination, Quality Audits, Snagging, Handover Documentation, As-Built Drawings, Project Specifications, ASTM, BS, EN Standards.Key CompetenciesQuality Assurance & Quality ControlCivil & Structural InspectionBuilding ConstructionInspection & Test PlansConstruction Quality ManagementMaterial Inspection & ApprovalNCR ManagementConsultant CoordinationDocumentation & ReportingProblem SolvingAttention to DetailTeam Coordination
