Quality Assurance Engineer

Presenton is building an AI-powered presentation generation platform used through our cloud product, API/SDK, desktop applications, and self-hosted deployments.We are looking for a QA Engineer who can take ownership of product quality across rapidly evolving AI and software workflows. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to identify issues before they reach customers, build reliable test processes, and help us ship faster without sacrificing stability.ResponsibilitiesTest new features across Presenton's web application, APIs, desktop applications, and self-hosted deployments.Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.Test complex presentation-generation workflows including:AI-generated content and slidesPPTX/PDF exportTemplates and brand guidelinesFile uploads and document parsingImages, charts, fonts, and other presentation assetsPresentation editing and regeneration workflowsValidate REST APIs, request/response schemas, authentication flows, error handling, and integrations.Test across different browsers, operating systems, screen sizes, and deployment environments.Reproduce customer-reported issues and provide clear, actionable bug reports.Build and maintain regression test suites for critical product workflows.Create and maintain automated end-to-end and API tests where appropriate.Work with developers during feature development to identify edge cases and potential failure scenarios early.Verify fixes and ensure changes do not introduce regressions elsewhere in the system.Help improve our release and QA processes as the product scales.Test enterprise features such as SSO, permissions, multi-user workflows, deployment configuration, and self-hosted environments.Investigate difficult issues using browser developer tools, application logs, API responses, and basic database queries.Requirements1–3+ years of experience in software QA, testing, or a similar engineering role.Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and test case design.Experience testing modern web applications.Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar.Ability to write detailed bug reports with reproducible steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, logs, screenshots, and relevant environment information.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication, browser networking, and client-server architecture.Comfortable working with GitHub, issue trackers, and engineering teams.Ability to independently investigate problems instead of only following predefined test cases.Good written and verbal communication skills.Nice To HaveExperience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar browser automation frameworks.Experience with API test automation.Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL or SQL.Experience testing desktop applications on Windows, macOS, or Linux.Experience testing SaaS, AI products, developer tools, or enterprise software.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in GitHub Actions.Experience with load, performance, or security testing.Experience testing AI/LLM-based products where outputs are probabilistic rather than completely deterministic.About PresentonPresenton is an AI presentation generation platform available through cloud, API/SDK, desktop applications, and self-hosted deployments.
