We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to join an innovative international project, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about software quality, testing automation, and continuous improvement, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the reliability and performance of business-critical applications.🧡 About the ProjectYou will join an Agile product development team responsible for building and enhancing digital solutions used by customers across multiple markets.Working closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps Engineers, you will play a key role in defining testing strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable applications.This role requires a strong quality mindset, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying and preventing defects throughout the software development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and testing documentation.Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring proper resolution.Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before production releases.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.Contribute to CI/CD testing processes and quality gates.Monitor software quality metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.Support performance, API, and non-functional testing activities.Promote quality best practices across the development teams.Skills & Experience+3 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.Experience with test automation tools such as:SeleniumCypressPlaywrightRobot FrameworkExperience with Tosca is a plus.Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Xray, TestRail, etc.).Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset.Fluent in PortugueseFluent in English📍 LocationPortugal | Hybrid Model (Lisbon)Why Empa‑T?At Empa‑T, we value empathy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.You will have the opportunity to work on innovative digital products, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that positively impact customers and businesses.This role offers continuous learning opportunities, career growth, and the chance to make a real impact by driving software quality and operational excellence.🧡 Join Empa‑T and help build reliable, scalable, and high-performing digital solutions while shaping the future of quality assurance.
