With a strong legacy of innovation, quality, and service, Komline-Sanderson commits to operational excellence and long‑term value creation.The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure materials, components, and finished equipment meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company quality standards. This role supports the manufacturing of engineered-to-order capital equipment in compliance with ISO 9001, ASME Section VIII, and other applicable industry codes and standards.Roles and ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, GD&T, and Bills of MaterialGenerate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming materials and products, ensuring proper documentation and dispositionUse manual precision measurement and test equipment to make accurate measurementsRespond quickly to production and engineering requests for inspectionWork closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality personnel to investigate quality issues and support corrective actionsEfficient communicator who is comfortable working with email and ERP systems for documentation of inspectionsInspect welded assemblies for compliance with AWS and ASME code requirements, approved weld procedures, and engineering specificationsPerform dimensional inspections of machined and fabricated componentsPerform electric control panel inspections for proper operationsVerify proper identification, labeling, and traceability of materials and components throughout the manufacturing processParticipate and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturing processesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality or related field7+ years of QA/QC experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environmentMinimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturingExperience with large complex capital equipmentExperience with welding inspectionMinium of 30% travel to customer sitesHands-on manufacturing experience, particularly in welding or machine shopPreferred QualificationsCWI certificationKnowledgeable in welding, NDT, AWS/ASME codesExperience with welding inspection/CWI certificationCertified or experience in ISO 9001 auditing
